When planning our trip to London, we were not really focused on getting there for cherry blossom season. I honestly had no idea that cherry blossom season was even a thing in London. 🙈
So it was a nice little surprise when we stumbled upon them while visiting!
We visited the last week of March, in case you were wondering. I don’t think we were there during peak cherry blossom time, but we still saw quite a few blooms to make us happy!
The ironic thing is that I really wanted to see the cherry blossoms while we were in Paris (more to come!), but we were about a week early. Whomp. Whomp.
But at least we got to see them in London!
All of these photos were taken in St. James Park, right in front of Buckingham Palace.
This was probably my most favorite park out of all the parks we visited.
To be in the middle of a bustling city, it was easy to forget that you were not in the country, in a different time period.
This is totally a nerd confession, but I liked to pretend that we were in Victorian England while we were there. Minus the camera in my hand. 😉
We lived just outside of DC for about 5 months after we were married, but it wasn’t during cherry blossom season. I was so excited to see these!
The park wasn’t super busy as well, which was nice.
Definitely check it out if you are there in the spring! You might be surprised like we were.
Thanks for looking!
