A Classic Baby Girl Nursery Inspiration Board

Now that I am in my third trimester, I really am starting to want to get the nursery finalized already. We have all of the main pieces in place. My parents gifted us her crib, this white Jenny Lind style. It is actually funny because when I showed my mom the crib I wanted, she told me that I had a crib almost exactly like it when I was a baby. 😊 For her changing table, we decided to use an IKEA dresser to save money and just put a changing pad on the top. I would have loved to do an antique pine dresser, but that just wasn’t in the budget. Maybe one day!

For her nursery, the item that we decided to splurge on was her glider. We wanted to get something that would be durable and last us for years and multiple babies, but still comfortable for all of the late night feedings and soothings. I think I probably searched every glider available, but finally settled on Pottery Barn Kids’ Comfort Swivel Glider and Recliner in Basketweave Slub Oatmeal. My husband is so excited about the recliner option, haha!

After getting those pieces down, it really is just a matter of color schemes and finishing touches now. I instantly knew when we found out that the baby is a girl the color scheme: muted shades of pink with creams, browns, and some touches of antique brass. Pretty much like the rest of our house, minus the pink. 😉

As for the “theme”, I decided on florals with small hints of bunnies. I found these vintage botanicals online that are going to look perfect as a grouping of nine above her crib in some antique brass frames. This Maileg bunny will look so sweet and will be a great little friend for her to cuddle with. To finish it up, a basket with a sweet scalloped liner will look perfect in the corner for all of her little friends.

I’ve got some things coming in the mail and then I cannot wait to share the finished product with you in a few months!
